The honest part

The Litbuy 0% markup breakdown: where your money actually goes

Beginners worry an agent secretly inflates the product price. Litbuy’s model is the opposite — 0% markup on the goods, with earnings from a service fee and shipping. Here is what you pay for, line by line, and why a cheap find is never the final cost.

Spark notes

0% markup means Litbuy pays the seller’s listed China price for the item and adds no margin to the goods — it earns from a service fee and the shipping you choose, so your delivered total is made of four parts.

  • Item: the seller’s China price, 0% added.
  • Service fee: pays Litbuy to buy, inspect and handle the order on your behalf.
  • Domestic shipping: seller to the China warehouse (usually small).
  • International shipping: the big variable, set by weight, volume and destination — confirm live figures on Litbuy.

The four parts of every order

Whatever you buy, the delivered cost is made of four parts. Only the first is the “item” — the other three are why the total is higher than the sticker on the spreadsheet.

0% markup means: the price you see on the Chinese listing is the price Litbuy pays the seller. It does not quietly add margin onto your sneakers. It is transparent about earning from the service fee and the shipping you pick.

What the service fee is for

The service fee pays Litbuy to do the parts you cannot do from abroad: talk to the seller in Chinese, place and pay for the order, receive it, inspect and photograph it, store it, and hand it to a courier. Think of it as paying for a local buyer, not a tax on the product.

Confirm the current fee. Fee structures and any promotions change. This guide will not quote a number that could be stale — check the live figure on the official Litbuy site before you order.

Why a "$12 find" is never $12 delivered

The most common beginner shock is opening a $12 hoodie and paying much more at the door. Nothing dishonest happened — the other three parts were always there:

  • +
    Service fee

A percentage or flat handling charge for buying on your behalf.

  • +
    Domestic shipping

Usually small — moving the item from the seller to the warehouse inside China.

  • +
    International shipping

The big variable. Driven by real weight, volume and your country. A heavy pair of boots can cost more to ship than to buy.

How to estimate before you commit

  1. Note the item price from the spreadsheet as a rough anchor (not final).
  2. Add a mental buffer for the service fee — check the live rate on Litbuy.
  3. Estimate weight. Light tops ship cheap; shoes, denim and hardware do not.
  4. Consolidate several items into one parcel to spread the international cost.
  5. Only then decide if the total is worth it.

Where 0% markup helps most: it makes the item line predictable, so the only real variable to manage is shipping. Master weight and consolidation and you control most of your total.

0% Markup Proof calculator

Type in a real listing and watch the difference. Litbuy pays the seller’s listed price with 0% markup on the goods; a marked-up agent quietly pads that item price. Every field is an editable estimate — adjust it to your order and confirm live figures on Litbuy before you buy.

Honest note: 0% markup means Litbuy adds nothing to the goods — the saving above is the margin a marked-up agent buries in the item price (seller price × markup %). Some agents charge a service fee instead of, or as well as, a markup, so always weigh the all-in total, not one line. Rates, fees and markups are editable estimates; confirm the live numbers on the official Litbuy site.
